Newcastle Opens Transfer Market

Newcastle is fast this year on the transfer market. The winter is not even over when the English club confirms the signature of a player for next season.

In negotiations for a few weeks with Chelsea, Eddie Howe affirmed the purchase of Lewis Hall, a young Chelsea player loaned to the Magpies this season: “I can confirm that Lewis Hall’s final transfer is about to be recorded. He will stay here for many years to come.”

The 19-year-old player would commit a round sum of £30 million (about €35 million) as agreed between the two clubs at the time of the loan. With Newcastle this season, the left-back has played only one Premier League match. He mainly showed himself in the League Cup this autumn. The Welshman had thus scored against United in the 8th finals.
